A cosy nest for two, beside a stream, in the heart of the Ardennes' unspoilt nature Longing to slip away together, for a weekend or a week, into a true haven of greenery? Our Waterfall House is a snug little retreat nestled in the heart of a private 15-hectare wooded estate near Couvin, on the edge of the forest and within the Viroin-Hermeton Nature Park — a Natura 2000 site with remarkable biodiversity. Here, nature reigns, and so does the silence. From the mezzanine bedroom, you fall asleep to the murmur of the stream flowing just beneath the window. In the morning, the large bay windows open onto the park and the forest, while the birds gather at the feeder set up in front of the chalet — a sight you never tire of. The only soundtrack here is birdsong and the murmur of the stream, nothing else. Unspoilt nature to explore through the seasons The chalet is tucked away on a private wooded estate, surrounded by forests, meadows and trails. Right from the doorstep, countless walks await you through woods and valleys, where you can observe the wildlife and flora of a wonderfully rich region. Autumn here is especially magical: the bellowing of rutting stags echoes through the surrounding forests, an unforgettable experience for nature lovers. The Couvin area and the Viroin valley are among the most beautiful landscapes of the Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse. Just a few minutes away, the village of Nismes and the Viroin-Hermeton Nature Park offer riverside walks, protected limestone grasslands and exceptional biodiversity. Heritage enthusiasts will discover charming stone villages, scenic viewpoints and the natural curiosities of the area (caves, the Fondry des Chiens, nature reserves).
